Project was a feasibility study around the filtering component of a working minerals processing plant. The current operation was changed causing the need for more filtering throughput at the plant.
CGK determined that upgrading the filter to a newer technology would not result in a significant improvement for moisture or throughput. It was decided to keep the current drum filter and install the same design next to the current operation. This allowed the client to save money on engineering, new drawings, and retraining plant personnel. This also kept them from having any break in production during the construction of the drum filter.
CGK was able to complete this project ahead of schedule allowing the client to make the necessary changes several months before it was scheduled to be completed. This allowed them to make significantly more product months ahead of schedule without a significant investment of CAPEX.
